Pattern:
Bast
Bast is the
cat-headed Egyptian goddess of sensuality, pleasure, healing, and
transformation. Her symbols are the unguent (perfumed ointment)
jar and the scarab, and her color is green. She was originally considered
the "Sekhmet of the Delta" and is one of the two eyes
of Ra. The other eye, Sekhmet, is the lioness-headed goddess of
unrestrained destruction and healing, and as she became more popular
in the united lands of Upper and Lower Egypt, Bast was happy to
assume a more gentle role.
